Hot Tubs Requiring Drains

Sometimes vacation guests do not always know proper tub etiquette. Here are a few instances which are probably the most common issues that end up requiring us to drain and clean a hot tub. The most common request of an owner or management company should be for the guests to rinse off in the shower before getting in the hot tub. We've all seen the signs at pools to "Shower before use", this is the same for hot tubs.

The first image is of a tub where the guests added soap to the water to make bubbles. These are hot tubs not bath tubs. So, just like a bath tub with this many bubbles, we would be required to drain and clean the hot tub to correct the situation for the next guest coming in.

The second image is most likely a situation where lotions or leave-in conditioners were introduced into the hot tub. This clouds the water without the bubble effect. The water is actually probable safe to enter, but we never know truly what is brought into the water. This would require a drain and clean as well to correct the situation.

The third image is where the guests chose to go hiking and come back to use the hot tub as a bathtub. There is no saving this water, and a drain with a flush and clean is required to correct the situation. A flush will help get the dirty water out of the pump lines, to properly clean the hot tub.
